                  O Captain! My Captain! Title: The title of the poem is 'O Captain ! My Captain !' Poet:  The poem is written by Walt Whitman. Rhyme scheme:  The rhyme scheme is 'aabb' Figure of speech:   Repetition, Tautology, Personification Theme / Central idea:  The poet is trying to communicate with readers his love for President Lincoln and his grief on his death. The poet says that Abraham Lincoln is the savior of their nation and they embrace him as their hero. The poet laments the death of this great leader.
